The Tepper Tech Innovation Challenge is a case competition for MBA students dedicated to applying business techniques to products in emerging technologies. Our goal is to create a community of forward-thinking students from the best tech-focused business schools.
Hosted by Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and B&T, the 2019 competition will test for Product Management skills.
Teams are to register for the competition through this form. Registration is now open until October 3rd, 2019 at 10:00 PM ET.
One team member will register the entire team. Each team will be asked to provide the name and email address of each team member, as well as indicate a team leader.
Dates: October 4th - 8th, 2019
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, October 8th at 3:00 PM ET
Registered teams will be provided the qualification prompt at 5:00 PM ET on Friday, October 4th.
The judging committee, consisting of Tepper School of Business faculty and sponsor judges, will anonymize and select the best submissions (8 teams; 1 team per program).
Results will be determined by mid-October.

Location: Tepper School of Business
Top teams from the qualifying round will compete in the final round at the Tepper School of Business. This two day event will culminate in a final presentation to a board of judges from sponsor companies and university faculty.
Winners will be determined and awarded on November 16th, 2019.
Each team must contain 4 members.
All team members must be full-time or part-time MBA students considering internship opportunities for the summer of 2020.
No changes to team members are allowed after registration.
All finalist teams must register at the Tepper School of Business by 9:00 AM ET on Friday, November 15th, 2019.
The competition will end by 3:00 PM ET Saturday, November 16th, 2019.
All meals will be provided for during the event.
Teams are responsible for traveling to and from Pittsburgh and their stay in Pittsburgh. Transportation will be provided during the event.
Business formal attire for all final round events.
Intuit will be guaranteeing first round interviews for all members of the winning team to be considered for a 2020 Summer Product Management Intern role.
